What would it look like for your existence to naturally benefit others? A life where you don’t have to go out of your way to share love and kindness, because it happens as a result of the movements/decisions you make daily. I ask myself that question often. That perspective helps me set positive intentions, knowing the influence of my mood and actions on others. One of the biggest issues we see in our world today is a lack of consideration for those around us. In my humble opinion, selfishness has been a “fad” for way too long.
How about no?
Sometimes our defense can be, “Well I don’t have any happiness or love to give”. While I’ll never debate you on your capability to feel and give love, I will always caution you on claiming scarcity VS abundance. We always have more to offer others than we know. What isn’t easy is putting your ego to the side to consider someone at any given moment, instead of seeing your life as a sitcom where you are the main character. Everyone around you is simultaneously going through the ups and downs just like you. We have good days, great days, bad days, and horrible days. How much easier could our days be, if we simply considered that other people are fighting similar, if not identical battles. At the moment we take that into consideration, we allow for empathy to enter the chat. When that happens, tones, actions and outcomes change. We could solve so many of our own problems by simply being considerate in the ways that we need consideration. By becoming the change you seek, you begin inviting others to do the same.
Love & light
Have you ever seen the impact of giving someone a hug, or simply smiling in their direction? You’d be surprised at the effects of complimenting someone on their outfit, their presence or even just asking someone how they’re doing while actually giving them space to share. These moments are a result of making a choice to exude love and appreciation for humans. Always remember, the highest currency you can pay someone is attention. Those seemingly small interactions, turn into opportunities of access to abundance for you and others. It won’t always feel like it, but there’s so much magic we can spark in others simply by showing them we care.
Lost & found
The love you feel is missing from you life is often the love you’re supposed to give yourself. Once YOU are loved to abundance, the rest will overflow to everyone around you. The sooner you learn and apply that concept, the easier it will be to manage your day to day emotions.You won’t feel slighted by people or the world, because you assume the responsibility of managing your own happiness. While it took me longer than I would have liked to uncover this truth, the revelation has been life changing.
I can recall a string of years where I did everything in my power to be seen, heard, and respected by others. My only mistake was “performing” love, instead of exuding it. Performance love is the seeking of affirmation and approval. Exuding love is an ownership and responsibility of the light/gifts that you carry. It’s a valiant pursuit of “paying rent” for the time and space we occupy while here on earth. It’s time that we ask ourselves how we can contribute to making the world a better place. And by world I don’t mean the WHOLE world, just simply the world that exists inside of and around you.

All of the above actions are a seed planted, and there’s no telling what those can lead to. So long as you do SOMETHING, that’s better than nothing. Take some time to plant one seed intentionally, everyday. Watch how light you begin to feel on your feet and in your heart. If we all do one thing, I trust we’ll see the progress we desire. Only one way to find out.
